Created in 2012, these hikes are guided by Marie-Françoise RATRON, in French or in English. It is the opportunity to share with you the daily life of the winegrower, his philosophy and his passion for the profession. Located in the heart of the appellation of the SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY, domaine RATRON enjoys a prime location on CHAMPIGNY. With a clos of 13 ha around the operation and 9 ha located within 1,24 miles, our walkers are evolving in the heart of the vineyards. Throughout the hike, we explain: - the rules for benefit of the SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY appellation, - the characteristics of the grape variety CABERNET FRANC (size and maintenance) - then our cultural fight reasoned without chemical weed control mode-the harvest by hand - the vinification of different wines produced leaving a prominent place to the expression of the terroir. At the end of these walks, a visit to the underground Cellars is proposed, followed by a tasting of estate wines. Made of authenticity and Passion, these walks allow everyone to ask all their questions around wine for 2 hours approximately.
